Happy Taco Tuesday! While there is never, ever a bad time for tacos, there’s never a better time than Taco Tuesday. We found ten of our favorite places in Nashville to celebrate.
1. Mas Tacos Por Favor
This East Nashville favorite has some of the most authentic-tasting tacos to be found anywhere. Offering a variety of flavors, including pulled pork, chicken and fish, Mas Tacos usually has a long line for a reason. Bonus: their tacos are SUPER affordable!
732 Mcferrin Ave, Nashville, TN 37206
2. Acapulco Burrito
You need to trust us on this one. Acapulco Burrito looks like a hole in the wall, right by the interstate near the Rutherford County line, with a real graveyard out front, but it consistently puts out some of the most-flavorful food to be found anywhere. Their menu is huge, but whatever you get, we bet it will be amazing.
13020 Old Hickory Blvd, Antioch, TN 37013
3. bartaco
There’s a reason Thomas Rhett loves their food so much –– because it is flawless. They churn out some of the freshest tasting food to be found anywhere. Try the crispy oyster or falafel taco if you’re feeling adventurous. They also offer several gluten-free options for those with even the most sensitive food issues.
2526 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
4. Rosepepper Cantina
We are almost as big a fan of the beans and rice that come with Rosepepper’s tacos as we are their actual tacos. Almost. Always fresh, and always delicious, Rosepepper has never left us disappointed. Go ahead and get the margarita also –- but only if you aren’t driving because they pack a serious punch.
1907 Eastland Ave, Nashville, TN 37206
5. Bakersfield
Of all the tacos we’ve had, these might be the ones with the most flavor. Offering everything from the typical fish and al pastor tacos, to the unique corn truffle, these are really, really amazing. One warning: if you go for the Pollo Diablo, it might be one of the spiciest things you will ever eat, and also the most delicious.
201 3rd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201
6. Saint Anejo
Saint Anejo has both the usual –– chicken, fish, steak (all delicious, by the way) –– but also several unique ones that can only be found inside their restaurant. Try the Korean Barbacoa or the Crispy Potato. Also, try one of their salads if you want to add something healthy to your meal.
1120 McGavock St, Nashville, TN 37203
7. Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa
Miranda Lambert had a hand in every detail of her downtown Casa Rosa Restaurant, including the menu. The expansive menu has plenty of taco options, including Short Rib, Nashville Hot Chicken and a Veggie taco, made with spicy buffalo cauliflower.
308 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201
8. Taco Mamacita
There’s literally not a bad taco to be had at Taco Mamacita (and we’ve tried almost all of them), but if we had to pick a favorite, we might pick the Caribbean Jerk taco. Or the General Homeboy. Maybe the Hot Chicken one. Made on flour tortillas (corn available upon request), there are also plenty of vegan options.
Unfortunately, the dining room in Nashville is closed. But fortunately, their (amazing) food is still availablef or pick-up and delivery.
1700 Church St, Nashville, TN 37203
9. Taqueria Del Sol
There are two Taqueria Del Sol locations to enjoy in Nashville. Try the Cheeseburger Taco, or the Fried Chicken Taco, which comes with a spicy mayonnaise, and by all means, do NOT skip their Salsa Trio.
2317 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204 and 4500 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209
10. Oscar’s Taco Shop
There are several Nashville locations to choose from, all promising robust flavors crammed into one (or two or three) tacos, including an overflowing vegetarian one that includes beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce and cheese. Don’t forget their rolled tacos, and they also have a long list of burrito options, as well as taco salads.
