We now know at least some of the performers for the upcoming CMA Awards. Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson will each take the stage, along with Chris Stapleton, Carly Pearce, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Megan Moroney, K. Michelle, recent Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Tanya Tucker, and the show’s host, Luke Bryan, who will co-host the ceremony alongside Peyton Manning.
Jelly Roll will open the live ceremony with a performance of his hit single, “Need A Favor.” He will also perform “Love Can Build a Bridge” with K. Michelle. Bryan will perform a medley of hits, including “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,” “One Margarita,” “That’s My Kind Of Night,” “Play It Again” and “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).”
Stapleton will perform his new single “White Horse,” while Wilson, who heads into the CMA Awards as the most-nominated artist, with nine nominations, will perform “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”
Tucker and Little Big Town will sing “Delta Dawn” together, while Old Dominion and Moroney will perform their current “Can’t Break Up Now” collaboration. Pearce and Stapleton will perform her current single, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.”
Wilson might have the most nominations, but Jelly Roll has an impressive five nods, an acknowledgment from the country music industry he is still having a hard time believing.
It is known as Country Musics biggest night. It literally doesn’t get any bigger than this and I have 5 nominations. I couldn’t control myself when I got the news.. everything about this is unreal. The truth is being nominated is already a win for me. Just being recognized by my peers and by the industry for the work we put in is amazing, especially for my people, this is a win for all the underdogs and forgotten. These are the moments I hope my people are the most proud of, that I have taken our message to the masses with out compromise and have been embraced. Thank you to the CMA Country Music Association. This is magical and you can bet the farm that my wife and I will show up dressed to impress yet trashy as ever – see y’all November 8th.
