2023 CMT Music Awards Add Jelly Roll, Tyler Hubbard + More As Performers

More artists have been announced as performers for the upcoming 2023 CMT Music Awards. Jelly Roll, Tyler Hubbard, The Black Crowes with Darius Rucker, and Wynonna Judd and Ashley McBryde will now also perform during the live televised broadcast.

The new artists announced join a previously-announced list that includes Blake SheltonKeith UrbanCarly PearceCody Johnson,  Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Carrie Underwood, who was the first performer announced for the ceremony. Kane Brown who is co-hosting the ceremony with Ballerini, will perform with his wife, Katelyn.

Jelly Roll, who is celebrating his first year as a nominee with three nods, will perform his current single, “Need A Favor.” Hubbard, who will mark his debut as a solo artist on the CMT Music Awards stage this year, will sing his hit single, “Dancin’ In The Country.”

The Black Crowes and Rucker will perform a world premiere of the band’s 1991 single, “She Talks to Angels.” Judd and McBryde will mark their debut television performance, one year after The Judds’ final TV performance at last year’s CMT Music Awards.

Wilson leads the list of artists with the most nominations, with a total of four. Johnson, Jelly Roll and Brown follow with three each. Underwood is continuing her streak as the most-nominated artist for Video of the Year. Underwood is nominated in the category for “Hate My Heart.” She is also nominated for Female Video of the Year, for “Ghost Story.”

Other nominees include Pearce,  Shelton, Scotty McCreery, Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay and Russell Dickerson, among others.

More performers, as well as presenters, will be announced in the near future. The 2023 CMT Music Awards will air live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on Sunday, April 2. The show will air on CBS. The CMT Music Awards are fan-voted. Voting is open now at Vote.CMT.com.
