More performers have been announced for the 2024 ACM Awards. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will perform together, along with Kelsea Ballerini with Noah Kahan, and Nate Smith with Avril Lavigne. Parker McCollum will also give a special performance, and Post Malone will make his ACM Awards debut.
The new collaborations join a previously-announced list that includes Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson Jelly Roll, Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton. Reba McEntire will also perform her new single, “I Can’t,” serving double-duty as she also hosts the live broadcast solo, marking her 17th time as host of the ACM Awards.
“There’s gonna be a new album coming out soon, but we’ve got a new single that we’ll be performing at the ACMs,” McEntire hinted on The Jennifer Hudson Show,
Shelton and Stefani have plenty of duets to choose from to perform, including their latest collaboration, “Purple Irises.”
“We love this song so much,” Shelton said when the song was released. “It’s a song Gwen wrote with a couple of friends of hers, and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. She knew there was something different about it and asked me to come in and sing with her. My longtime producer, Scott Hendricks, produced it, and Gwen’s been wanting to work with him for a long time now, and it’s turned into this really cool and different song that can live anywhere.”
Ballerini could possibly perform a song from her forthcoming new album, one she says will be very personal and honest.
“I want to make a record about what it feels to be 30… what it feels like to be falling in love and feeling a new level of safety,” Ballerini recently told Flaunt. “Having the space in my life to experience all of it first had to happen for it now to reflect in the music.”
Luke Combs leads the list of nominees with eight nominations, followed by Morgan Wallen and Megan Moroney with six nominations. Johnson, Stapleton and Wilson have five, and Jelly Roll and Jordan Davis have four each. See a complete list of nominees here.
