Who Is Hosting:

Reba McEntire is hosting for the 17th time. McEntire said it was watching Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks both host the ceremony in 2023.that made her want to do it again.

“I saw Dolly and Garth doing it last year, and I thought, ‘Man, that’s fun,’” McEntire told Entertainment Tonight. “They’re having a great time. And my competitiveness came in.”

McEntire also hints she will have multiple wardrobe changes.

“The first fitting was five hours,” McEntire told E! News. “The second fitting was two hours. It’s going to be about four outfits for the show, one for the red carpet and one to perform.”

McEntire will also perform her brand-new single, “I Can’t.” Aldean will perform “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” in tribute to Toby Keith, who passed away from stomach cancer on February 5.

Who Is Nominated:

Luke Combs leads the list of nominees with eight nominations, followed by Morgan Wallen and Megan Moroney with six nominations. Johnson, Stapleton and Wilson have five, and Jelly Roll and Jordan Davis have four each.

The ACM Awards got a lot right, including Moroney’s six nods and Johnson’s Entertainer of the Year nomination. But there were also a lot of artists who were worthy of nominations that inexplicably were eliminated from the list of nominees this year. Surprisingly, Chris Young, Carly PearceScotty McCreery and Carrie Underwood are among the artists who didn’t receive a single nomination this year.

Combs, Jelly Roll, Johnson, Stapleton, Wallen and Wilson are each nominated for the night’s highest honor, Entertainer of the Year. The most coveted award of the night, at least Brown says he does not deserve to walk away with that trophy.

“I’m a person that looks at everything, so when it’s Entertainer of the Year, of course, it’s amazing to be up there, but I’m the type of person that if I won, I feel like I don’t deserve it right now,” Brown admits to Country Now. “I mean Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen are killing it. Then I saw Chris Stapleton on the list. Chris has such a good voice and I didn’t realize he was playing stadiums too.”
