The 404 Kitchen, located in the Gulch neighborhood in Nashville, is partnering with Food Network star Marcus Samuelsson for some unique menu items. The collaboration, teaming up The 404 Kitchen’s chef Matt Bollus with Marcus, is part of the trendy restaurant’s ongoing summer staycation dinner series, which partners with notable chefs for unique dining experiences, available for both dining in or as carry-out.
Dubbed Worldly Cuisine on the The 404 Kitchen’s website, items on the menu include unique offerings like Cauliflower Frites with Green Mayonnaise, Bird Funk & Chicken Liver Butter Toast, Peanut-Bacon Half Chicken, Spicy Sweets and Green Beans, and much more.
“We could never have been prepared for how to navigate through this “new” normal, but chefs are known for being adaptable and pivoting and that is exactly what this dinner series is about,” Chef Marcus told Eater Nashville. “ I jumped at the chance to collaborate with Matt and his team and pay tribute to one of my favorite cities from its historic roots in the civil rights movement to its legendary music scene. While I wish I could be there in person, I know the team will do an incredible job bringing my cuisine to Music City.”
Marcus’ lengthy list of credits include several successful cookbooks, as well as a New York Times best-selling book, Yes, Chef: A Memoir. He also cooked at the White House under the Obama administration, where he made his famous Marcus’ Short Ribs, which are also included in the menu items.
The Worldly Cuisine menu items are available now at The 404 Kitchen, and will remain available through August 30. A tasting menu for two is $59 per person, or items can also be ordered a la carte. All items, except for the whole fried fish, are also available for carry-out. Find more information here.
