5 Things to Do in Nashville on Memorial Day Weekend

It’s an unprecedented Memorial Day weekend for sure, with businesses just starting to reopen, some with restrictions and guidelines, during the coronavirus pandemic. Stil, there are, thankfully, several things to do in and around Nashville. Keep reading for a few of our suggestions:

1. Order BBQ to go.

Multiple Nashville restaurants are offering take-out of all of their food, but nothing says Memorial Day quite like meat right from the smoker! Fortunately, a few of Nashville’s favorite restaurants are also offering great deals to feed your family.

Adele’s is offering a meal for two for $58, which includes choice of salad and meat, plus several sides and strawberries and cream cake for dessert. (NOTE: Meals must be pre-ordered by Friday, May 22).

Sinema is also offering options including brisket, fried chicken and biscuits, smoked wings and ribs. Bloody Mary or Bubbles Bar is also available to go as well. (NOTE: Must order two days ahead).

Peg Leg Porker has great BBQ 365 days of the year! Their food is also available through DoorDash.

2. Visit Cheekwood.

Cheekwood is now open! Although there are some restrictions, the gardens are open for the public to walk through –- a welcome respite after being closed for several weeks.

3. Support a local restaurant.

With more and more restaurants and bars starting to reopen, visit your favorite one for a meal, a snack or a drink. A few of our favorites include Redneck Riviera, Puckett’s, Pork Belly Farmhouse, M.L.Rose Craft Burger & Beer and Party Fowl.

4. Visit Arrington Vineyards

OK, so watch the weather first, because their covered seating is still closed, but if the sun happens to come out, there’s not a better place to spend a few hours than Arrington Vineyards. Located just outside of Nashville, the picturesque drive is part of the fun. Buy a bottle of wine, bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful views. (NOTE: Check their Instagram and Facebook pages before you go, which is where they will announce if they are at capacity and not allowing more guests.)

5. Shop at Opry Mills

The Opry Mills mall is open again! Get all your summer necessities, as well as exercise while walking around the large mall. Check the website for the status of specific stores and restaurants.
