Happy National Margarita Day! Whether you like the traditional margarita, one that packs a bit of an extra punch, or something truly unique, there are plenty of places to celebrate the holiday in Nashville. Check out nine of our favorite places below.

1. Rosepepper Cantina

Rosepepper Cantina has amazing food, and equally impressive — and strong — drinks. Calling themselves “Nashville’s Tequila Specialists,” they offer several different types of margaritas, including a Tropical Margarita with frozen fruit, and a Skinny Margarita, made with Cointreau and fresh lime juice. But if you have to pick one — and based on the strength of their margaritas, one is plenty — try the El Feugo, made with fresh jalapeños.

2. Saint Añejo

Saint Anejo has a wide variety of margaritas, including both the classic flavors and unique ones, such as the Jalisco Flower, made with lavender, ginger, rosemary, fresh lemon, and the Fresh Diabla, with strawberry, agave and jalapeño.

3. El Fuego

El Fuego promises margaritas as authentic as they come, and they aren’t wrong. The best part? Their house margarita is just $5.99. Their El Fuego Margarita is infused with jalapenos. They also have plenty of other drink options, including a Paloma and Bloody Maria.

4. Bakersfield
Bakersfield has an expansive menu of both food and drinks, with offering plenty of libations in addition to margaritas. But their authentic Mexican food practically begs for a refreshing margarita to wash it down. Our pick: the Cucumber Margarita, with Espolon Silver tequila, elderflower, cucumber, fresh citrus and agave. It’s practically a healthy drink.

5. bartaco

bartaco might be a restaurant chain, but it’s hard to tell by their homemade craft cocktails. Try the Hibiscus Mezcalita, made with Libélula Tequila, Banhez Mezcal, fresh blood orange, lime, homemade ginger agave simple + fragrant hibiscus tea, complete with a sugared and salted rim. Yum.

Taqueria del Sol not only has several margarita options to choose from, but the chance to make your own! Choose your own tequila to start, from their very long list of choices, and take it from there. The possibilities are endless.

7. Pancho & Lefty’s Cantina

Pancho & Lefty’s has numerous margarita options that are as refreshing as they are unique. While they also offer the classic flavors, their in-house concoctions are too tantalizing to pass up. Their Mad Dog Margarita, with agave and fresh lime, can include jalapeño, mango, strawberry, or kiwi.

8. The Local Taco

At The Local Taco, their Frozen Fresh Lime Margarita is as classic as they come. If you’re thinking of a traditional margarita, not too tart and not too sweet, The Local Taco is definitely the place to go.

9. Nada

Nada has numerous Mexican-inspired cocktails, besides the margarita. But their margaritas are so good, it would be a shame to not try at least one. Our pick: the Chile Mango, made with chili-mango pineapple and fresh lime.
