Adam Sanders just released the picturesque video for his latest single, “Make Em Wanna Change.” The song, which Adam co-wrote with Adam Craig and Dallas Wilson, is from an upcoming new album.
“I wanted the overall feel to be unlike anything else I had released before, so we decided to have the shoot in Carlsbad, New Mexico and Orla, Texas,” Adam told The Boot. “The song has such a vintage feel to me and wanted the setting to fit that same vibe. The edits capture the dreaminess of the lyric, and I can honestly say that I believe this is the best video/song representation of me to date.”
Adam also credits those behind the scenes who helped bring his vision for the song to life.
“It’s so crazy that we were able to pull off this entire shoot,” Adam noted. “I owe a ton of credit to my team and friends behind the scenes for helping me put everything together in such a short time,”
“Make Em Wanna Change” is Adam’s next step in his move from writing songs for artists like Cole Swindell, Luke Bryan, Dustin Lynch and more, to establishing himself as an artist as well.
“I moved to Nashville to be an artist, and songwriting was just sort of my way to get my foot in the door,” Adam told Everything Nash. “Cole was one of the very first people that I ever met when I moved to town. I watched his career grow from being a songwriter to an artist and, and other guys, like Thomas Rhett. There’s so many other people through the years that were songwriters and then became an artist. That was, I felt like the best path for me, because I was having such success in the songwriting world.”
The Florida native might soon be competing with some of country music’s biggest artists for a spot on the charts, but he knows he can count on all of them for advice and support as he navigates the next phase of his career.
“It was a little scary, in the fact that I felt like I knew how to write songs for Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley and Cole and Dustin and all these people that I have cuts for,” Adam said. “I’ll take their opinions into consideration. I don’t know if we’ve ever had any conversations of, ‘Hey, do this or do that.’ But I definitely, I remember for the very first single I put out, ‘Nothing to Do But Drink,’ they were big supporters of that song. I’ve always sort of looked to them and played them songs and got their opinions.
“I think sometimes your friends and your buddies, your closest people know you better than sometimes you may think you know yourself,” he remarked. “Sometimes it’s good to get their opinion.”
