Alexandra Kay is heading back out on the road! Only a couple of weeks after wrapping up her Backroad Therapy Tour, which she extended into 2023 due to fan demand, Kay announces her Dive Bar Dreamer Tour, kicking off on July 19 in Wichita, Kansas. The tour will wrap up on August 8 in Athens, Georgia. The tour is being put on in partnership with Miller Lite.
“We’ve gone from 100 tickets sold to tens of thousands.. from dive bars to amphitheaters and from cover songs to y’all screaming my original music,” Kay shares on social media. “Although so much has changed.. a few things have stayed the same. I’m still drinking Miller Lite, and I’ll always be a Dive Bar Dreamer.
“Text the word ‘LITE’ to 615-235-5743 for fan presale tickets happening Wednesday and meet and greet presale happening Thursday,” she adds. “General admission tickets for non-presale on sale FRIDAY. CHEERS, see you on the road.”
In a separate video taking fan questions about the tour, Kay also explains that she is still offering free meet and greets, but will only be offered to the first 150 fans who submit requests. The rising star previously used to meet fans at the merch table after each show, but because of her growing popularity, the chance to meet all of her fans was no longer feasible, due to venue curfews.
The news comes as Kay just released her latest single, “I Hate Airplanes.” The song is from a new album, which she plans to release later this year.
“So my senior year of high school, I started dating this guy, and a week into our relationship, he tells me he is going into the Air Force, and he’s leaving for basic training in a couple of days,” she says of the inspiration behind the song. “We ended up staying together for two years, and then we broke up. Ten years later, I wrote a song about what it was like to be in a long-distance relationship with someone.”

Kay is eager to share her new set of tunes with her fans, which she has been working on since 2022.
“It’s a product of the last year, but I definitely still have a few more songs before it’s done, and I just wanna make sure it’s perfect,” Kay previously told Music Mayhem, speaking of her new record. “It’s my first full-length project, and I wanna make sure that I give my fans something that they listen to and they know it’s me as soon as it starts spinning. And so I just want them to be as proud of it as I will be.”
