A new Ole Red will open soon in Las Vegas. Blake Shelton was recently on hand to help break ground on the new location, at Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Las Vegas.

“If you are going to do something here, you’ve got to do it big,” Shelton said of the new venue. “Every time I’m in Vegas, I want some country music and Ole Red is the remedy for that.”

Shelton also announced the new Ole Red location on social media, saying that Vegas needed some “damn good country music and we’re going to bring it to them.”

Shelton announced in 2021 that he was planning on opening an Ole Red in Las Vegas.

“I’ve been going to Las Vegas for 20 years now, and the one thing that I’ve noticed, and people talk about, is there’s not enough country music venues,” Shelton told People. “There’s especially nothing right down in the midst of the strip and in the center of everything.”

The “No Body” singer believes an Ole Red in Las Vegas is the perfect addition to a city filled with bright lights and nonstop music.

“I don’t think that people are going to be dying to get in there just to hear some country music, especially when you come to Vegas,” Shelton conceded.  “You want to see all kinds of things, but at some point, I think it can be a little overwhelming and tiring. Maybe you just want to have one of your nights in Vegas to just chill out, have a drink and listen to some country music? To have it there so accessible and right there in the middle of everything, it’s just going to be perfect.”

Shelton has previously hinted that he might be interested in a Las Vegas residency as well. The Oklahoma native said in 2021 that he was open to the idea of doing a Vegas show, after watching his close friend, Garth Brooks, when he was in Las Vegas.

“I’ve always wanted to do a show like [Garth’s],” Shelton teased. “Now I probably waited too long because I don’t play guitar as good as I used to. The key thing for Garth was that he could just walk out there and play a million different songs. I always meant to do something like that. It’s just my career hasn’t had the window of time to do it up until now. I definitely think that there’s a good chance of me doing something like that.”

The new Ole Red Las Vegas will be located in front of Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Las Vegas at the Grand Bazaar Shops, located on the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. The venue will be approximately 27,000 square feet with a planned 686 seats, The new location will also be the largest Ole Red to date, and the first in the western United States.
