Blake Shelton Signs With New Label After Leaving Warner Music Nashville

Blake Shelton has a new label home. Only a few weeks after announcing he had left Warner Music Nashville, where he had been for 23 years, the Oklahoma native reveals he has signed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.

“Blake is one of the biggest personalities and presences in media,”  Jon Loba, President, Frontline Recordings, Americas, BMG, says of Shelton. “America first got to know him through incredible, timeless songs and live shows and then fell in love with him and his sense of humor through TV. We are so excited he’s joining the BMG Global family and cannot wait to share his incredible new music with the world. He’s been laser-focused on delivering some of the best of his career and it shows. We have been dancing through the office, literally not just figuratively, since we heard the first couple songs he played for us!”

“A huge thanks to Jon, Peter [Strickland], JoJamie [Hahr], Katie [Kerkhover] and the BMG family for being as excited as me about this new chapter we will write together,” adds Shelton. “I felt their passion and love for music when I met with them, and I knew I was home. I am READY TO GO!”

Other artists signed to BBR Music Group include Jason Aldean, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll and Dustin Lynch, among others.

The Grand Ole Opry member recorded a new version of the Christmas carol, “Go Tell It On the Mountain” for the holiday comedy film, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, available on October 18.

“I love everything about Christmas, especially music that makes me feel as good inside as the holiday itself,” Shelton remarks. “This movie is fun and heartwarming and captures the true holiday spirit. So we wanted to record a song that expresses reverence and faith and puts a smile on your face. ‘Go Tell It on the Mountain’ does all of that and I hope our version and the movie become a new Christmas tradition.”

Shelton recently revealed plans for his 2025 Friends & Heroes Tour, with Trace Adkins, Craig MorganDeana Carter and Emily Ann Roberts serving as his opening acts.

“The Friends & Heroes Tour is one of my favorite tours because as a fan, I can’t think of a cooler concert to see,” Shelton said when the tour was announced. “I get spoiled every night seeing these icons come out and do four or five of the biggest hits of their storied careers. And then get introduced to new talent like Emily Ann. I can’t wait.”
