Brad Paisley Just Admitted He Cuts and Colors His Hair

Brad Paisley has been forced to cut his own hair, due to self-isolating because of the coronavirus pandemic, but that’s nothing new for him. The 47-year-old admits he has been cutting his hair for most of his adult life –– not that he’s very good at it.

“I’ve been cutting my own hair — and coloring hair as well. I’m a jackass of all trades at this point!” Brad joked to People. “I’ve done it when I need to, and I’m not any good at it but it doesn’t matter because I’m wearing a hat.

“It’s great to be a cowboy hat-wearing artist right now,” he added with a laugh.

Brad might be adept at taking care of hair, but he isn’t quite as skilled in cleaning up after himself. After his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, posted a video on social media of Brad’s messy closet, the 47-year-old reveals he got bailed out by his own mother!

“My mother saw that and she drove over here — we’re not separated from my mom and dad, they’re quarantining sort of with us — she drove over to our house, loaded it all up and washed it and folded it,” Brad recalled. “Pretty soon you’ll see a video of my dirty truck. I have a feeling [my dad] Doug Paisley will drive right on over here and wash that thing!”

All jokes aside, Brad is grateful for this unprecedented amount of time with his family, including sons Huck and Jasper, although the reason for his time at home makes him incredibly heartbroken at the same time.

“The stress that a lot of business owners are under and a lot of musicians are under right now is horrifying,” Paisley said. “Every now and then something hits me that just feels sad, but I have enjoyed the time at home with my family.”

“I’m able to be home and present in a way that I haven’t been, so that part is nice,” he added. “The fires in the fireplace and everybody sitting around, that’s pretty great. I don’t want to look back on this when I’ve complained for years about not having time for certain things, like fishing with my kids and hiking in the woods. We’re trying to do that as much as we can.”

Brad’s current single, “No I in Beer,” is available for download at iTunes.
