Brandon Davis is hitting the road! The father of four announced on social media his Hey Baby Tour, singing the news to John Michael Montgomery’s iconic “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)” song.
“We’re setting out on a tour across the nation / We’re coming to a town that’s out near you,” Davis sings. “But to do this we’re going to need your dedication / So listen close to what we need you to do / I said, grab your tickets right here right now / Come out and sing these songs real loud / Instead of sitting, scrolling on your phone / We’re loading up the bus and we’re heading out / So grab your tickets before they sell out / They’re going once, going twice / Sold to Tennessee, indiana, South Dakota, Kansas, Georgia, North Carolina, –, West Virginia, and Maryland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, South Carolina.”

Davis’ Hey Baby Tour comes only a few weeks after he dropped his Jesus and Jesse James EP. Davis wrote or co-wrote all eight songs on the project, which soared to the Top 10 on iTunes when it was released.
“I am so pumped to finally have all eight of these songs out on platforms,” Davis said when the record was released. “We’ve been giving you two to chew on for the past few weeks, with “Fell For You” and “Jesus and Jesse James,” and now we’ve got six more adding to that list to make the full EP.”
Davis was intentional about making all of the tracks on Jesus and Jesse James a throwback to the music he grew up on, and sitll inspires him today.
“This entire EP is filled with a stripped-back country sound that brings back memories of the kind of country I grew up listening to,” Davis tells American Songwriter. “The main theme behind this EP is just the storytelling it holds and how unique each song is. I wanted to make sure there’s something for everybody no matter what phase of life they’re in. The songs take you on a personal journey that hopefully makes you feel like it was written just for you.”
Davis will join Jake Hoot, Wade Hayes, Moe Bandy, John Conlee and more for Country for a Cause, taking place on June 7 at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville. He will follow that performance up with a show the next day at AJ’s Good Time Bar, as part of CMA Fest.
