New music is here from Brandon Davis! The rising star just released “Wheels On The Truck,” a song that he has been teasing on TikTok, by sharing videos of him with his son, Granger, who is already a massive fan of the song.
“My boys have been excited for it, especially Granger,” Davis reveals in a Facebook video. “If y’all cannot tell by the videos that have been posted in the past week, I have a little boy that has never been so excited for a song to drop in his life, in all four years of it. Soon to be five, he keeps reminding me. But ‘Wheels On The Truck’ is the song we’re talking about, and my four-year-old has absolutely just went over the moon with this song.”
Davis is the proud father of four children, who along with his deep love of old-school country music, inspire almost everything he does.
“My kids are a huge inspiration with my music,” Davis reveals. “’90s country has always played a huge background as to where my music comes from, and the sound that we try to cater to, and you combine those two things, and you see the inspiration come with this song. I had some very, very great songwriters on this, some like-minded folks came together, and really kind of drove home that storytelling aspect, along with that family element that I’ve come to love in every single song I write.”
Davis recently dropped another personal song, this one, “Destiny,” inspired by his wife, named Destiny.
“In 2019, this woman almost lost me to a distracted driver,” Davis says in a video posted on TikTok. “I was hit head on and had to have life saving surgery followed by a lengthy hospital stay and months of healing. She never left my side and at 20 weeks pregnant with our fourth, she cared for me and our three others with such grace. When my faith was weak, she prayed with me. And when I told her I wanted to chase my dreams, that life was too short not to…she made my dreams happen and fully supported my decision. So I wrote her this song, and this was the first time she heard it.”
Davis spent a few months earlier this year serving as the opening act for Tim McGraw on his McGraw Tour 2022.
“Words can not describe how thankful I am to have had the chance to learn from one of the greatest in country music these past 6 weeks,” Davis said on social media after the tour wrapped. “Tim McGraw thank you… thank you for taking a chance on me, thank you for welcoming us with open arms, thank you for inspiring 6-year-old me in the back of my mama’s car to sing my heart out every chance I got. This experience has been one I’ll never forget and I will forever be thankful for! Thank you just isn’t enough.”
