Congratulations to Brett Young and his wife, Taylor! The couple, already parents to 15-month-old Presley, announced that they will welcome their second child this summer.

“We really wanted them to be close enough in age so they could have a lot of things in common and be best friends,” Young tells People. “Tay had her sister close in age growing up, so we both felt strongly we wanted Presley to have the same.”

“Tay is so close with her sister, and that’s something we always knew we wanted for Presley,” he adds. “We feel very blessed!”

Young also shared the good news on social media, along with a few photos of his growing family.

“And then we were 4,” Young wrote. “It seems like just yesterday we found out our little Presley was on her way. We are beyond blessed by this growing little family!”

Although Taylor’s first pregnancy was a breeze, the singer-songwriter says this time it’s a bit more challenging for his wife.

“Unfortunately the morning sickness is real this time, which is unlike the first pregnancy. That being said, everyone is healthy and that’s all that matters,” Young reveals. “Hopefully, being through the first trimester, she will start to get more comfortable.”

Young didn’t plan to have as much time at home with his daughter as he did in 2020, but he is grateful for the ability to watch Presley experience her first year.

“There are so many things I would have missed during this first year of our daughter’s life if I was gone working,” Young reflects. “I got to be there when she said ‘Dada’ for the first time. There are more examples, but I think that says it all and sums it up for me. So special.”
