More performers were just announced for the upcoming 2022 CMT Music Awards, which promises to be one of the most unforgettable awards shows ever. Bryan Adams, Walker Hayes, Thomas Rhett and Monica are among the artists who have been added to the already star-studded list.
Adams will perform with Jason Aldean, while Jimmie Allen will sing with Little Big Town and Monica, and Rhett will perform with Riley Green. They join a previously-announced list, which includes host Kelsea Ballerini with Kenny Chesney, Kane Brown, Mickey Guyton with Black Pumas, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris with Ryan Hurd, Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, as well as the first televised performance in over 20 years from the legendary duo The Judds.
All of the categories in the CMT Music Awards are fan-voted. The six finalists for Video of the Year, the night’s highest honor, were just announced. The nominees in that category include Underwood and Aldean’s “If I Didn’t Love You,” Kane Brown‘s “One Mississippi,” Ballerini and with Chesney’s “Half of My Hometown,” Luke Combs‘ “Forever After All,” Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t” and Swindell and Wilson’s “Never Say Never.”
Brown is leading the list of nominees for the 2022 CMT Music Awards, with four nods. In addition to his Video of the Year nomination, the father of two is also nominated for two CMT Performance of the Year trophies, for both his “Ride Wit Me” performance with Nelly, Blanco Brown and Breland, from CMT Crossroads: Nelly & Friends, and his cover of Randy Travis‘ “Three Wooden Crosses,” from the 2021 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony. He is also nominated for Male Video of the Year.
Ballerini and actor Anthony Mackie will host the ceremony, which will air live from Nashville on Monday, April 11, at 8:00 PM ET on CBS. Voting for the 2022 CMT Music Awards Voting is open now at vote.cmt.com.
