Two food worlds collided for an upcoming episode of A&E‘s Legends of the Fork. The show features the popular baker, Buddy Valastro, as he visits iconic restaurants across the country to taste their food, meet the chefs, and hear the stories behind the secrets to their success. In this week’s episode, Valastro visited Chauhan’s Ale and Masala House, a popular Nashville Indian restaurant, owned and operated by Food Network star Maneet Chauhan.
“Chauhan Ale and Masala House is not your typical Nashville restaurant,” Valastro tells Everything Nash. “The restaurant is designed to offer a unique dining experience stemming from the co-owner and executive chef, Maneet Chauhan’s Indian roots. It was an honor to visit and speak with Maneet and learn about the amazing dishes and spices utilized to create them. Chauhan Ale and Masala House is a must-eat for anyone in Nashville and I can’t wait to return!”
In the clip of the upcoming Legends of the Fork episode, Chauhan shows Valastro how to make one of her signature spice blends for a marinade.
“Whenever you’re working with spices, you need the spices to sing and dance,” Chauhan explains.
Legends of the Fork premiered this fall, returning the popular baker, who rose to fame on TLC‘s Cake Boss, into people’s homes once again. He is also appearing on another new show, Buddy Valastro’s Cake Dynasty, which stars his entire family.
“We’re back on TV, baby!” Valastro said when the show was announced. “I can’t wait for viewers to see what we’ve been cooking up,” says Buddy Valastro. “I’m excited to bring not one, but two brand new shows to A&E starting this November. Viewers are going to love Buddy Valastro’s Cake Dynasty featuring the whole Valastro family, just a little older and maybe a little more grown-up (maybe!).
“And I hope people enjoy all the great culinary stories I showcase on Legends of the Fork while traveling throughout the country looking for the most iconic food and flavors,” he added.
Chauhan’s Ale and Masala House is located at 123 13th Avenue North in Nashville. The restaurant is open from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for lunch, and reopens at 5:00 PM for dinner.
The Legends of the Fork episode with Valastro and Chauhan will air on A&E on Saturday, December 2, at 9:30 PM ET.
