There’s new music coming from Cam, which will be released as part of her new record deal! The singer-songwriter just signed a new deal with Triple Tigers Records, in partnership with RCA Records, where she released her freshman album.
“When I heard Cam’s new music, I was moved and inspired,” said Triple Tigers’ Norbert Nix. “She has an identifiable, world class voice and her songs are crafted with experience, emotion and strength. She is at the apex of her creative journey and it’s an honor to work with an artist of her caliber and to partner with our good friends at RCA Records New York to showcase her talents to the world.”
“This upcoming album is the best music I’ve ever made,” added Cam. “It deserves the best partner to take it out into the world – and that’s what I’m getting with Norbert and the team at Triple Tigers. Their passion, drive and ingenuity are exactly what I was looking for. This is gonna be such a fun ride.”
The new set of tunes will also include “Redwood Tree,” which is her own reflection on her California upbringing.
“I grew up with a redwood tree in my backyard as my climbing tree. I spent so many afternoons up there as a kid looking out and dreaming about the future,” the California native said in a statement. “It feels like I’ve lived 5 lifetimes since then – I’ve done more than I can even remember, but still part of me wishes I could’ve stayed put, and to have that time at home.
“But you can’t be in two places at once and you couldn’t have known then what you know now,” she added. “It’s a song about time, and whatever way you spend it still feels like just a blink to a redwood tree.”
Cam is in good company at Triple Tigers. She joins a roster that includes both Scotty McCreery and Russell Dickerson. “Classic” from her new record, will be released on July 17.
