In honor of Pearce’s 34th birthday, she shared the good news on social media.
“Okay guys, so it’s my birthday, and because it’s my birthday, I wanted to give you guys a special gift,” she says in a video she posted. “So, my album, hummingbird, is now coming out a week earlier, which means it is coming out on June 7th. I’m so excited. We’re going to be playing some new songs from the album at CMA Fest on that Sunday, and just celebrating a lot of amazing things with the album release. And, I just wanted to tell you that if you pre-save the album, make sure to DM me, because I have a special surprise for you.”

Pearce’s last full-length album, 29: Written in Stone, was released in 2021. It took her the almost three years in between to solidify what she wanted to say on her next project.
“I was so intimidated of how to follow 29 because I never wrote that thinking it would have any kind of success,” Pearce tells Billboard. “But what it did is it taught me so much about how strong I am. And so, to see this album be finished and for it to speak to so much that has happened to me, I’m really proud of myself, and hummingbird will forever remind me that I can really do anything.”
When announcing hummingbird, Pearce promised that the new record would show how much she has changed and evolved since sharing her heartbreak on 29: Written in Stone.
“The last few years have been a season of loss and growth, of healing and happiness,” Pearce shared on social media. “A belief that if I did the inner work, I would rebuild myself stronger than I was before, and a knowing that I have done some living and will always be unapologetic about it. These 14 songs incapsulate my confidence that there is light on the other side of darkness and my true love of country music.
“When you hear this album — wherever you are on your journey, I hope it shows you that pain can be a lesson that shows you just how strong you are and what you truly deserve,” she continued. “That we can all find the ‘hummingbird’ in the midst of whatever we’re going through.”
Pearce has a Top 15 single with “We Don’t Fight Anymore,” her collaboration with Chris Stapleton. She is currently serving as the opening act on Tim McGraw‘s Standing Room Only Tour. She will headline her own international hummingbird tour next year, kicking off in Stockholm, Sweden. Find music and tour dates at CarlyPearce.com.
