Carly Pearce Releases ’29: Written In Stone (Live From Music City)’

Carly Pearce‘s live album is out! The Kentucky native’s 29: Written In Stone (Live From Music City), recorded during Pearce’s Marathon Music Works concert event in Nashville last year, was released on Friday, March 24.

29: Written In Stone (Live From Music City) features all of the songs on her telling 29: Written in Stone album, including her Grammy-winningNever Wanted To Be That Girl” collaboration with Ashley McBryde and a live version of her current Top 5 single, “What He Didn’t Do.” It also includes her “I Hope You’re Happy Now” duet with Lee Brice and her collaboration with Matthew West on “Truth Be Told.”

For Pearce, the decision to release a live record was made because of her own love of listening to live music. But it also became her own thank-you letter to her fans, who helped her career skyrocket with her autobiographical third album.

“I love live records,” Pearce tells Go Country 105. “Music just comes to life in a live way. A lot of my favorite records were live records, and this album, 29: Written in Stone, completely changed my whole world. It was just a record that was so much about the storytelling, and so much about those live experiences.

“I wanted to bring it finally to life in a way that if fans never came to see me live, they could have that special moment in time,” she adds. “It’s just a way for me to again say thank you, because this album completely changed my whole world.”

29: Written In Stone (Live From Music City) might be out now, but chances are fans will soon have more music from Pearce. The Grand Ole Opry member revealed last year that she would soon have a new project to share with the world.

“I’m really excited about it,” Pearce told Everything Nash. “I write from where I am in my life. So I think that you’re gonna see this new season of life for me, and more confidence in the kind of country music that I make, and really just waving my flag in that.”

Pearce also hints that there will be songs about her “sacred and strong” relationship with her longtime boyfriend, Riley King.

“I think you’ll see the beauty of falling in love again, but also the hardships that come with trusting somebody again, and that push and pull of what that looks like,” Pearce reveals “So I think it’s gonna be just, you’ll know exactly where I’m at in my life.”
