Carrie Underwood Adds ‘Savior Sunday Daily’ to SiriusXM Empire

Carrie Underwood is expanding her SiriusXM empire. The American Idol alum launched her Carrie’s Country channel last year, followed by her Carr-dio by Carrie’s Country, a music workout station, at the start of this year.

Now, Underwood is adding the faith-based Savior Sunday Daily by Carrie’s Country. The new channel, available on the SiriusXM app, includes faith-based music, hand-picked by Underwood, expanding on her Savior Sunday programming she offers every Sunday.

Per a press release, Savior Sunday Daily will feature some of Underwood’s “favorite traditional gospel hymns in a unique pastiche of musical styles from classic country to folk, bluegrass, and gospel.” Artists with music already in rotation include Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, Gabby Barrett, NEEDTOBREATHE, Randy Travis, Thomas Rhett, Reba McEntire, Zach Williams and more.

“This music shaped who I am as a person and is the foundation of my career as a recording artist,” Underwood explained. “I feel so blessed to be able to create a destination to share these songs with generations of people who love them as I do, as well as others who might be experiencing them for the first time.”

Underwood explained her decision to launch Savior Sunday Daily on social media.

“I love that country music is tied to faith music,” Underwood said. “We’re just real people, just like everybody out there listening. And we’re family people. We’re hard-working people. But we also like to sing songs to God sometimes. And hopefully, everybody out there listening can just relate.”

Underwood has been very open about her faith, both in her music and her daily life. The mother of two released My Savior in 2021, 13 songs that all reflect her Christian beliefs.

“We had a couple of little churches we went to. I remember my first being very tiny with wooden pews. That was probably one of my earliest music memories, singing these hymns in the congregation, and being on stage and singing in front of people for the first time,” Underwood later said of My Savior. “It was always just familiar. These hymns are like a warm hug, just sweet, familiar songs I’ve been singing and listening to my whole life.”

Underwood currently has a Top 20 hit, with “Out Of That Truck.” The song is from her Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) album, out last year.

“I feel like musically, we wanted ‘Out Of That Truck’ just to feel like … I’m gonna use the word ‘rock’ super loosely,” Underwood said. “We wanted it to be driving, and guitar-heavy. It’s not an aggressive song at all, so we didn’t want to push it there, but we just wanted it to move and have some energy. I have an affinity for guitars, so it was one of those wanting it to take you somewhere, and you can sing along with it.”

Underwood has extended her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency throughout 2024. Find all of her music and upcoming shows at CarrieUnderwoodOfficial.com.
