Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire and more are showing off their tree decorating skills, and it’s all for a worthwhile cause. The singers are among several country music celebrities who are participating in this year’s Parade of Trees, decking out Christmas trees that are on display in the Garden Conservatory at Gaylord Opryland Resort. The stars are also donating Once In a Lifetime VIP Experiences, including airline tickets, VIP concert experiences, merchandise and more.
All of the proceeds from the Parade of Trees will benefit the First Responders Children’s Foundation, which will help provide scholarships and mental health services to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
Underwood’s tree celebrates her recent My Gift (Special Edition) album, as well as her upcoming REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, which kicks off on December 1.
“It’s just going to be high energy. I want everything to just be super exciting and big,” Underwood tells People of her upcoming shows in Sin City. “When I think of Vegas, I think of being a little over the top — I love wardrobe changes and scene changes and different lighting concepts. I feel like we’re right now just in that planning phase of ‘anything is possible.’ And I just look forward to seeing it all take shape.”
“The whole thing when we started thinking about ‘reflection’ as our overarching theme, we really just wanted it to be like a ‘best of’ type situation,” she adds. “And I’ve got a few years under my belt now and been lucky enough to have songs that people will know and can sing along with me.”
Other artists participating include Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, Keith Urban, Eric Church, George Strait and Mickey Guyton. The trees will be available in Gaylord Opryland Resort until January 2. More information, including how to enter the sweepstakes, can be found here.
