Fans who want to catch Underwood’s Las Vegas show in person have a limited amount of opportunities to do so. Underwood announced in October that she was ending her residency in April of 2025. REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency first launched in 2021.
“These past three years have gone by so fast!” Underwood said when announcing the news. “I’ve had the absolute best time performing our show REFLECTION and am extremely proud of what we created. Thank you to all the fans that have come out to see us from all over the world and continue to show us love. We look forward to seeing more of you at our final shows next year.”
Per a press release, Carrie Underwood: Reflection will feature “one-of-a-kind production” created by Underwood specifically for her Las Vegas shows, taking fans on a two-decade journey since the beginning of her career, including her 14 No. 1 hits, along with “spectacular special effects, pyrotechnics and state-of-the-art visual and audio technology.”
Underwood will still have plenty to keep her busy. She is currently serving as a judge on American Idol, along with Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Underwood returns to the reality TV talent show 20 years after she was declared the Season 4 winner in 2005.
“It feels like home,” Underwood told Good Morning America. “There are so many people that even still work on the show that were there when I was a contestant. And I feel like being on both sides of the coin, I’ll be able to hopefully offer some insight and help and kind of offer a different viewpoint.”
It was Idol that kicked off Underwood’s now-legendary career, something she reflected on when announcing her return.
“I remember being at home in our little house in Checotah, and seeing on TV that there were auditions in St. Louis. My mom said, ‘If you want to go, I’ll drive you,’” Underwood said in a video.
“I went from nobody knowing my name to tens of millions of people watching the show.,” she continued. “I’m proud of everything that I was able to accomplish on the show, and I’m so proud of everything that I’ve accomplished since.”
Underwood is also back at radio again. The Oklahoma native joins Cody Johnson on “I’m Gonna Love You.” The Top 30 single is from Johnson’s Leather Deluxe Edition, out now. Although Underwood doesn’t do many collaborations, she liked not only the song, but also her duet partner.
“I think the first time we met was at an awards show,” Underwood recalled to iHeartCountry. “There’s always so much going on at those things, and everybody’s just coming and going. I remember leaving that night, just saying, ‘I really like that guy. I hope I watch him do great things.’”
