Carrie Underwood is used to being on the go, so her extended time at home, while self-isolating with her husband, Mike Fisher, and children Isaiah and Jacob has been a bit of a challenge. Still, the American Idol alum is making the most of it, revealing how she is spending her extended tim off.
“I am dealing with the social distancing much like everybody else,” Carrie said, via her record label. “We are just at home, and we are trying to get out and explore when the weather’s nice enough to do so. We are so lucky that we have some land around us that we get to get outside and get some of our energy out, especially with a five-year-old, for Isaiah, trying to come up with crafts.
“I’ve been cooking a lot. My house is spotless,” she added with a laugh. “But just trying to do what I can work-wise as much as I can at home and trying not to worry and praying much like everybody else.”
Carrie is also indulging in a few of her favorite TV shows, which is a guilty pleasure for the Oklahoma native.
“It depends on what time of year it is, to be honest,” Underwood shared. “We do guilty watch The Bachelor or Bachelorette. I love The Walking Dead when that’s on. I do like A Million Little Things when that’s on. It seems like maybe when one of my favorite shows ends, it’s like another one starts back up again. But we watch a lot of murder-mystery type shows, as well.”
Even before the coronavirus outbreak, Carrie and Mike already carved out time both at the end of the day, as well as the beginning, while their children were still in bed.
“My husband and I are trying this thing where we get up earlier so we can have a little quiet time before the kids wake up,” Carrie previously told People. “Then we have breakfast together, and it’s all about the mad dash out the door. I have a calendar-journal that I look at for the day and week ahead. It’s nice to see it laid out in front of me.”
