It’s the end of an era for Carrie Underwood. The Oklahoma native performed the final show of her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, which began in 2021. Underwood shared an emotional post about that chapter of her life and career closing on social media.
“And that’s a wrap for me and my crew at Resorts World,” Underwood writes. “Reflection has been such an incredible experience! Thanks to each and every one of you who came to see it and thanks to all the band/crew/performers who made it so spectacular! This show will always have a special place in my heart! On to the next chapter!”
Underwood also shares a video of her final performance to “Something In the Water,” as she is being lowered from the stage.
“Thank you very much for coming out tonight,” Underwood says through tears. “Please give it up for my incredible, amazing band. And make some noise for our crew that worked so hard throughout all these shows. Make some noise. And one more time nice and loud for all of these performers you guys have been watching for three and a half years. Thank you again for coming to REFLECTION. It has been an honor and a privilege and a pleasure and a blessing to get to be on this stage. God bless you guys. Thank you AEG Resorts World. Thanks for having us. Goodbye.”

In a press release, the mother of two also opens up about what the residency means to her, and her bittersweet reaction to its ending.
“REFLECTION has truly been one of the standout moments of my performing career thus far,” says Underwood. “It is a production I am so very proud of and have had so much fun performing over the course of this residency these past three-plus years. I’ve loved being in Las Vegas where we’ve welcomed fans from all over the world who have come to see us. It’s been so special to reflect on the first 20 years of this career I am so grateful for, and have loved being on stage with my band and all the performers every night. Thank you AEG Presents, Resorts World, and Las Vegas for making my first residency such an amazing experience!”
In October, Underwood announced she was ending her residency.
“These past three years have gone by so fast!” Underwood said at the time. “I’ve had the absolute best time performing our show REFLECTION and am extremely proud of what we created. Thank you to all the fans that have come out to see us from all over the world and continue to show us love. We look forward to seeing more of you at our final shows next year.”
Underwood was proud of the show she put on in Las Vegas, holding nothing back, including using aerial dancers, lighting a Jeep on fire an dmore.
“I feel like there was so much love and work and excitement that was poured into this show,” Underwood tells ABC. “For me, I feel this will live in my mind as one of the greatest shows we’ve ever put together, if not the greatest show we’ve put together.”
Because she didn’t have to bring everything on tour, the American Idol alum was able to think outside the box, making REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency one of the most successful Vegas residencies.
“We have done ‘Before He Cheats’ many times over the years, in many different ways, and just being in this static environment where we don’t have to pick up and move everything, it’s like, ‘Well, what is our wish list?’ And it’s like, ‘Let’s light something on fire,’” Underwood explains.
“The dancers, the ladies that come onstage bring attitude,” she adds. “And I feel like [it] just lifts us all up for the finale. I mean everybody sings. I’m always amazed when I put the microphone out. You know, are they gonna sing? And everybody’s singing and it makes me really happy.”
In addition to serving as a judge on this season of American Idol, Underwood is also reportedly working on a new album. Keep track of updates at CarrieUnderwoodOfficial.com.
