Carter Faith has new music out! The rising star is back with “Already Crazy,” an honest look at how interwoven feelings, past or present, can be in relationships.
“I think this song embodies the complex nature of people and their feelings,” Faith tells Everything Nash of her new tune. “The confusion of loving someone that is not good for you and then hating them at the same time is a seemingly never-ending situation and this song really is in the depths of that heartbreak.”
Faith likely correctly predicts that “Already Crazy” is the promising beginning of a new season for her as a singer, songwriter and performer.
“This song means so much to me because of how it tells a story of heartbreak while also empowering someone to be authentically themselves at the same time,” Faith says in a press release. “It feels like the first song that’s part of something a lot bigger for me.”
Faith has been busy touring and releasing music since her promising career began. The North Carolina native previously released her Let Love be Love EP in 2021, co-writing all six songs on the project.
“When I listened to Let Love be Love for the first time, after we had finally gotten all of the songs done and put them in order, I realized that this project was so many things at the same time,” Faith told Everything Nash. “It is gentle but wild and strong, it is grounded but also otherworldly. It is nostalgic and classic but also futuristic. It is unapologetic, it is me.”
Faith is now making her dreams of a career in country music a reality, with more than 50 million streams of her music so far, and landing a coveted spot on Spotify’s 2022 list of Artists to Watch.
“I have always loved music but it wasn’t until middle school when I started learning how to play guitar and piano,” Faith previously told Belles and Gals. “Eventually, I started writing songs right around my 16th birthday. I have always loved country music; it is what I grew up listening to and it feels like home for me. I just love the storytelling that comes with the genre. One of my earliest memories is playing country music cassettes with my grandpa in his car.”
