Charlie Daniels Brand, Inc. to Launch Charlie Daniels Steaks

One of the projects Charlie Daniels was actively working on while he was still alive was a partnership with Tyler Country Market to launch a new premium line of their Black Label Reserve steaks. After the Grand Ole Opry member unexpectedly passed away in July, the family decided to continue his legacy, changing the business name from CDB, Inc. to Charlie Daniels Band, Inc., and focusing on product branding and licensing, as well as official Charlie Daniels Band merchandise, with their first official venture the Charlie Daniels Steaks. A portion of the proceeds will go towards The Journey Home Project, which Charlie founded, to aid veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

“I’ve been friends with Charlie Daniels, his family and management team for decades,” Steve Morriss, Tyler Country Market CEO said of the new partnership. “We think about Charlie’s unique caring spirit and kindness every day. A cattleman himself, he had a special caring relationship with the herd on his ranch. We really do miss Charlie.”

“Charlie was actively involved in developing this new premium steak product offering before he passed,” Charlie’s wife, Hazel, and son, Charlie Daniels, Jr., said in a joint statement. “And as a longtime friend and customer of the Morriss family’s Country Market in Tyler, Charlie wanted to share his favorite steaks with his fans. He would be overjoyed to know the veterans will benefit from this amazing partnership.”

The Black Label Reserve steaks, including ribeyes, sirloins and filets,  will initially be available to to fans of the country music icon, via CharlieDaniels.com.

Charlie died on July 6 of a hemorrhagic stroke. He was 83 years old when he passed away.

“Country music will never be the same,” Loretta Lynn shared on social media, speaking about the loss of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” singer. “Charlie was a heck of an artist. I can’t even begin to count the number of times we worked together. He was so much fun! He was always such a good friend to me and I loved him. We’re all going to miss him so much.”
