Chase Rice is celebrating the release of his new album with a new tour! The singer-songwriter will embark on his Way Down Yonder Tour on March 3 in Laughlin, Nevada, only a few weeks after his new album, I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, is out on February 10. The tour will conclude on April 29 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Avery Anna, Tyler Braden, Ashland Craft, Dalton Dover, Kameron Marlowe, Read Southall Band and Conner Smith will each serve as Rice’s opening acts for select dates.
Rice’s late father, Daniel, who passed away in 2008, is on the cover of I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, a fitting tribute to a man whose life and legacy continues to impact his son.
“My dad was one of those good guys you read about – tough, hardworking, always helping other people out,” Rice tells Everything Nash. “I try to live my life in a way that would make him proud. I haven’tt always measured up to that, but I get closer to that man I want to be and the man he’d be proud of every single day. Making this album was a big step towards that musically, too.
“Not only is it the most vulnerable I’ve ever been, it’s also a sound he’d enjoy listening to,” he continues. “I’ve always wanted to honor him by using his photo as an album cover, and I know this project is the one that deserves that. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”
Rice released his 15-track The Album in parts throughout 2021, but he is more than ready to share his new music with the world.
“That was a chapter in my career that I want to close,” Rice explained. “Not because it was bad, but because that’s just a period in life where everybody’s done with it. This pandemic’s over. That was all written and produced and put out in three different parts during the pandemic, which was really cool. It allowed me to continue to connect with fans. But with that being in the rearview, I did a lot of writing towards the end of the pandemic that is really, really good. And I wanted to get that out and get a whole new chapter of my career out there. I think you’re gonna hear it’s just a different quality.”
