Chris Stapleton to Launch His Own SiriusXM Channel

Chris Stapleton is getting his own channel on SiriusXM. The reigning ACM Male Artist of the Year will launch his own Chris Stapleton Radio on Thursday, May 23, at 12:00 PM ET. The station will be available both on the app and on channel 63.

Per a press release, the music will be hand-picked by Stapleton, and feature not only his songs, but tracks from artists who have influenced him, of all genres, including Tom Petty, George Jones, John Prine, Lainey Wilson, Mavis Staples, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Tyler Childers, Bob Dylan and more.

Chris Stapleton Radio gives people another way to connect with our music — where me and the rest of the guys in the band and Morgane are coming from,” Stapleton says. “What our influences are. Knowing that when people come to watch a show, what they’re hearing is informed by the things that are on this channel. That’s probably the ultimate reason that I want to do this. We’re honored and thrilled to bring Chris Stapleton Radio to life at SiriusXM.”

“Chris Stapleton is one of country music’s most prolific singer-songwriters today and we are thrilled to collaborate with him on his own year-round SiriusXM channel,” adds Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “We are truly excited to have Chris bring his own channel to life, sharing with our listeners not only his catalog of music but his insights and the music and artists that he loves and is inspired by.”

Stapleton also took home the ACM Award for Album of the Year, for his 2023 record, Higher.

“Thank you to the Academy, thank you to my producer, my lovely wife, Morgane, and Dave Cobb, and all the guys in the band who have been with me so long making these records,” Stapleton said when accepting that trophy. “We do our best to make an album that’s a complete body of work all the time, and hopefully that’s what this means.”

Stapleton was not only the biggest winner at the ACM Awards, walking away with a total of four trophies, but he also won two Grammy Awards, earlier this year, for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance, both for “White Horse.” He was also nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for his “We Don’t Fight Anymore” collaboration with Carly Pearce, with that trophy going to Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves, for “I Remember Everything.”

“It’s such a convergence of different aspects of music,” Stapleton said of his three Grammy Awards nominations. “It’s just like a big melting pot of stuff that is just so fantastic to watch people interact that you don’t get that anywhere else, really. The Grammys are great to see that and you always see some cool collaboration or something that’s going on at the Grammys that it’s not going on anywhere else. I think it’s a real honor to be nominated for Grammys, and I think it’s very cool.”

Stapleton is headlining his own American Roadshow Tour dates, and also opening for George Straitperforming in stadiums all over the country.  Find all of Stapleton’s music and tour dates at ChrisStapleton.com.
