Chris Stapleton has just secured one of the most coveted performances an artist can get. The Kentucky native will sing the National Anthem at this year’s Super Bowl LVII, taking place on Sunday, February 12, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Stapleton joins an impressive lineup of musical guests, including Babyface, who will sing “America the Beautiful,” and Sheryl Lee Ralph, who will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
Stapleton shared the exciting news on social media.

The father of five will have a busy 2023. In addition to headlining his own shows, Stapleton will also join George Strait for Strait’s stadium tour, with Little Big Town serving as the opening act.
“I love doing these shows with George about as much as I like doing anything,” Stapleton says. “There’s nothing to compare it to. So many of his songs are in the ethos of what country music is. Playing these shows together is a great experience all the way around.”
The eight-time Grammy Award winner was recently crowned the Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2022 CMA Awards, a category he shared with Eric Church, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson and Morgan Wallen.
“Thank you so much for this,” Stapleton said when accepting the honor. “Thank you. It means so much … All the guys in the category all deserve this award, and everybody’s killing it. I’m so honored to be a member of the country music community. I promised my daughter I’d give her a shout-out. It’s her birthday tonight, so happy birthday. She’s 12 tonight. I love you. This is for you.”
The last two Super Bowls also featured a country artist. Mickey Guyton sang the National Anthem in 2022, while Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan sang it in 2021.
“When I got the call asking if I would sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, that was the last thing that I ever thought I would ever hear in my lifetime,” Guyton shared with her record label in 2022. “And here I am, getting to sing the National Anthem and getting to be on a list of great singers who have sung it.”
The Super Bowl LVII will air at 6:30 PM ET on FOX. Rihanna will perform during the halftime show.
