Clay Walker Says Alexandra Kay Has ‘A Lot of Class’ Ahead of Tour Dates [EXCLUSIVE]

Alexandra Kay will join Clay Walker and Tracy Lawrence for a few shows in November. The “Skip This Part” singer previously joined the two for a handful of dates earlier this year, earning high praise from Walker and Lawrence for her impressive covers of their songs before the tour even began. But now that Walker has had a chance to spend time with Kay on the road, he is an even bigger fan.

“She is such a kind person. It’s great to see that with a new artist,” Walker boasts to Everything Nash, sharing how thoughtful Kay is, even off the stage. “After we had done some shows together, she sent Tracy a bottle of whiskey, and sent me a bottle of wine. It was just really super kind, super unexpected. I call that class. She’s got a lot of class.”

Kay also got to take notes from one of her other musical idols earlier this year, when she served as the opening act for Tim McGraw‘s McGraw Tour 2022, alongside Brandon Davis and Russell Dickerson. The Illinois native reflected on that experience, and the lessons she learned from the country music superstar.

“Still can’t believe I got to do this every single night this summer with Tim McGraw, Russell Dickerson and Brandon Davis!” Kay shared on social media, alongside a photo of all of the singers on stage together. “Woke up feeling so much gratitude this morning and excitement for what is to come.”

Kay will also play another important stage, namely the Grand Ole Opry, later this year. The singer-songwriter will have her official Opry debut on November 19. Kay shared a video of her parents giving her the surprising news.

Kay’s Grand Ole Opry debut falls on the one-year anniversary of Jelly Roll’s debut, an artist she has openly admired. Fortunately, the admiration goes both ways, with Jelly Roll also praising Kay, while talking to Lawrence on  Lawrence’s TL’s Road House podcast.

“Of course, I’m a huge Alexandra Kay fan,” Jelly Roll said. “I just love her. She’s the salt of the earth, an incredible singer. Great soul, great human … it’s gonna work for her in a real way.”

Kay will begin her run with Walker and Lawrence on November 3, performing a total of six shows with the two hitmakers. Keep track of all of her music and upcoming shows at AlexandraKayOfficial.com.
