What The Artists Are Saying About CMA Country Christmas:
For many artists, being part of CMA Country Christmas is a welcomed invitation, as they get to put their own twist on some of their favorite Christmas songs.
“Christmas is my favorite time of year,” Davis says. “We always stopped touring right at the beginning of December, just ’cause it means a lot to me to be at home, be with the family. So this being my first year to get to do the CMA Country Christmas, it is really special, so I’m excited.”
“Our performance this year is definitely bringing some energy, some excitement,” Lady A’s Hillary Scott says. “We’re doing a Stevie Wonder song that we are so excited [about]. It’s got a great horn section, the whole band sounds so good, and we have dancers!”
“I think you can expect some energy,” adds Williams. “Lainey’s a firecracker, so I’m looking forward to doing this song with her. This has been one of my favorite songs and versions that we’ve done of this song, so it’s going to be a fun time.”
