CMA Country Christmas is back! The holiday celebration will return on Thursday, December 8, hosted once again by Carly Pearce, who will also perform. She will be joined by Dan + Shay, Steven Curtis Chapman, Scotty McCreery, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Molly Tuttle, and The War And Treaty to help usher in the holiday season.
The Country Music Association shared a clip of the evening, which also shows an appearance by Santa Claus.
Pearce announced that she was returning to host the celebration for the second year in a row. Last year she shared hosting duties with Gabby Barrett.
“‘Tis the ‘CMA Country Christmas’ season! ” Pearce tweeted. “Gather your friends and family and join us for a magical night of holiday tunes by some of your favorite Country artists!”

It’s fitting that Pearce is hosting the CMA Country Christmas, since she said she wants to host more events in the future. She previously hosted the ACM Honors ceremony earlier this year.
“It’s been something that I think, as my career has kind of grown in the last couple of years, it’s been something that I’ve really raised my hand to the people above to let them know that that’s something that I’m passionate about,” Pearce told Everything Nash earlier this year.
It’s been a big week for Pearce. The Kentucky native received her first-ever Grammy nomination, for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for her “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” duet with Ashley McBryde.
“Well… I really don’t have any words,” Pearce said when the news was announced. “My first GRAMMY nomination?! Wow. Wow. Wow. Thank you [Recording Academy] for this moment I’ll never forget.”
CMA Country Christmas will air on Thursday, December 8, at 9:00 PM ET on ABC. Song details will be announced in the near future.
