A week after Cole Swindell and his wife Courtney revealed they are expecting their first child, we now know if they will be having a son or daughter Swindell shared the news in a video posted on social media, revealing they are having a girl!
The singer posted a clip of a onesie that turned pink to share the good news, backed by his current Top 10 hit, “Forever to Me.”
“We can’t wait to meet you,” Swindell captioned the video.

Swindell and Courtney got married in June, after dating for a few years. The two met at a NASCAR event, and became friends. But when Swindell needed a love interest for his “Some Habits” video, out in 2022, sparks started to fly.
“The whole feeling on that day, I just felt like there was something,” Swindell recalls to Billboard. “I don’t know that I thought we’d be getting married, but I definitely knew that’s what I was missing.”
“Forever to Me” was written by Swindell, along with Greylan James and Rocky Block. Written about Courtney, “Forever to Me” became their wedding song. The 41-year-old has had plenty of hit singles over the past several years, but admits he worked hardest on singing “Forever to Me.”
“It was a different kind of feeling — like, ‘Man, I can’t believe I’m singing this. I can’t believe I wrote this song,’” Swindell recounts. “I felt a lot of pressure to get it right.”
Swindell felt pressure to sing the song well, but he also felt pressure when writing the song, because it was so true-to-life for him and Courtney.
“As a songwriter, you want to write stuff that’s personal,” Swindell tells iHeartCountry. “But you also want to write stuff that other people can relate to. And to write a song about something I’ve never been in, until now — I didn’t know if I’d ever get to write a song like this. I just can’t wait for the fans and everybody to hear it, and to see how they relate to it, and who the song makes them think of.
“For this to be a love song,” he adds, “and for this to be my wedding song, I don’t know how it gets any bigger than that for me.”
When Swindell sat down to write “Forever to Me,” he wanted it to be specific to their relationship, while also something that others could sing as well.
“I wanted to write a song that’s special to me and also special to Courtney,” Swindell explains “And to be living in a moment and write about it, I don’t think it ever gets more real than that. Although I will say I can’t believe that this is me writing this, this is me singing it. But I know there are other people out there that feel the exact same, and I think that’s why we all love country music.”
