Dan + Shay’s Good Things album release show comes less than a month before they resume life on the road, with their The (Arena) Tour, which was postponed last year because of the pandemic.
“The last time we played a show was two nights sold out right here in [Bridgestone Arena],” Dan + Shay tweeted during tour rehearsals. “Feels crazy full circle to be back rehearsing new songs from a new album for a new tour. we’ve missed y’all more than u know and can’t wait to sing GOOD THINGS with you so soon.”
Good Things is Dan + Shay’s fourth studio album, and what they believe to be their best so far.
“We worked super hard on this project,” Dan Smyers said on the Today Show. “It felt like our first album again, where you have all the time in the world to work on it. We had over a year to work on this album, and just be cooped up in the studio … We’re so proud of this thing. We feel our fans deserve the best, so we pushed ourselves to keep raising the bar.”
Dan + Shay credit their success so far, including their song, “10,000 Hours” becoming the most-streamed song in country music, with much more than just their talent.
“Being genuine. We genuinely love what we do,” added Shay Mooney. “We get to play for amazing fans. We like each other, a lot. We’re best friends. It’s not hard; we don’t have to fake any of this. We love what we do. We love to create music together. And like Dan said, we owe our fans, radio, everyone, you guys, to create the best music we possibly we can. We feel like on this next record, we truly reached a next level of what we are doing.”
