Tonight’s the night Chapel Hart will find out if they will be crowned the America’s Got Talent winner, but they will also share the stage with a country music superstar. The trio, made up of sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle, will be joined by Darius Rucker for a collaboration, before the winner is declared.
“Like so many people, I was blown away when I saw Chapel Hart’s original response to ‘Jolene’ during their audition,” Rucker says. “Their energy on that stage has been contagious to watch and I’m honored they asked me to be part of their finale experience – especially to perform one of my favorite songs of all time!”
Rucker has been a fan of Chapel Hart for a while, previously revealing that he had already asked them to join him for a track on his forthcoming new album.
Chapel Hart’s first audition was of them singing an original song, “You Can Have Him, Jolene,” a tribute to Dolly Parton‘s “Jolene” single. The performance earned the threesome a collective golden buzzer from all four judges, plus host Terry Crews, and praise from Parton and Loretta Lynn, along with an invitation to perform on the Grand Ole Opry.
Chapel Hart returned to AGT to perform “The Girls Are Back In Town.” The song earned them a spot in the finale, where they performed another original, “American Pride.”
Rucker’s next project includes both “My Masterpiece” and “Same Beer Different Problems,” which have already been released. An album title and release date have yet to be announced. Keep track of music and tour updates at DariusRucker.com.
Chapel Hart will make their debut on the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, September 17, as part of an all-star lineup that includes Jeannie Seely, Charlie McCoy, Mark Wills and more. Tickets are available here.
The season finale of America’s Got Talent, which also includes country artist Drake Milligan, will take place on Wednesday, September 14, at 8:00 PM ET on NBC.
