Darryl Worley is offering a new update on his daughter Savannah, who was severely injured in a car accident last month, and life-flighted to a Nashville hospital. In a recent social media post, Worley shared how she is doing, along with more details about the terrible ordeal.
“It was a head on collision that occurred less than a mile from our house,” Worley writes. “I was coming out of New Mexico that day trying to get home when I heard about her crash. I was unable to make it to Nashville that night. They had life-flighted her to Vanderbilt and her surgeries were scheduled for early the next morning. I flew out of Dallas thinking I wouldn’t be there in time for her surgeries. God saw fit to let those surgeries be postponed until the afternoon and I made it in time to be there while she was going through her operations. I am thrilled to say that Savannah and the other lady are both recovering and everyone survived.
“Please pray for the lady who was also injured in the crash,” he adds. “We are praying diligently for her and her family. I am so thankful today that these two get to spend time with their loved ones at this special time of year after such an intense episode. We are all so grateful to God for his continued mercy and grace.”

2024 was indeed a challenging year for Worley. In addition to Savannah’s accident, the Worleys also experienced a barn fire earlier this year, along with his wife, Kimberly, also being injured in a car accident.
“As I reflect on the year that has come and gone I am certainly thankful,” the 60-year-old says. “It has been a challenging year to say the least but not as challenging as some have endured. In January our barn burned to the ground and we lost everything except our livestock. Then Kimberly had her side by side crash a few months back and pretty severe injury to her left arm. After a three and a half hour trauma surgery they said she would have a full recovery. She still doesn’t have the full use of her hand so please continue to pray that it will come back strong. The doctor says that’s because of a nerve that they had to move around to get the metal plates in there to put all the bone pieces back together.”
It might have been a challenging 2024, but the country music singer is choosing gratitude as the year comes to a close.
“Looking back on all of this, I know God is still working on us,” Worley says. “I’m not sure what the lesson is but my book says be thankful for the good and the bad. We will understand it better by and by but for now we will be humble and thankful that we are all together during the holidays. I have spoken to many people of late who were not so lucky. Me and my family will be praying for those who have lost their own children in so many different ways. I can’t imagine how hard the holidays must be.
“During this holiday season it is my goal to lift those people up in prayer nonstop,” he continues. “We will be doing something for them through the Darryl Worley foundation as soon as we figure out what that looks like. Please continue to pray for us as we go into the Christmas season. We are a little behind the 8 ball but it will all be just fine. God Bless all of you and thank you for being faithful friends.”
