Dierks Bentley is heading back out on the road this summer, joined by some of country music’s biggest stars. The Arizona native just announced his Gravel & Gold Tour, where he will be joined by Jordan Davis for all dates, along with a rotating list of opening acts, including Tracy Lawrence, Elle King, Tyler Braden, Caylee Hammack, Kameron Marlowe, The Cadillac Three, The Red Clay Strays, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Shane Smith & the Saints, Caitlyn Smith and Hailey Whitters. Bentley’s own Hot Country Knights will also open for select shows.
“I’ve been waiting as patiently as possible for the time when we could tell our fans about this tour and I’m happy the moment has arrived,” Bentley says. “With new music, a whole new set and vibe along with incredible musicians and singers to share the stage with … I can honestly say I think this will be our best tour ever.
“Jordan Davis and I have been talking about touring for a long time and he’s just killing,” he continues. “Not to mention the list of artists that we will be touring with is so exciting for me as a fan of all their music. I will be side stage every night taking it all in alongside the fans on this Gravel & Gold Tour.”

Bentley admits he was thrilled that Davis agreed to join him for his 28-city tour.
“I’m pretty excited about it,” Bentley shared with Everything Nash and other outlets during a virtual media event. “It’s going to be with one of my favorite people in the world. Who you tour with is huge. And people always ask me, ‘Do you pick your tour mate?’ I can’t imagine not picking them, because we’re gonna spend the whole year together, and it’s not just about ticket sales. It’s about the whole hang, the vibe.”
Bentley reached out to Davis directly a full year ago, making plans for the Gravel & Gold Tour.
“I asked Jordan this time last year, and we’ve been talking about it for a while,” Bentley reveals. “I feel really lucky because he’s a great guy. It’s fun touring with someone who’s just so easy to get along with, but he’s also really hot right now. It’s like, ‘Yes, I nailed it!’ I got someone who’s just crushing it. He’s had so many huge hits, and he’s really just rocking. And so, I feel so lucky to have him out there. It just makes my job so much more fun when the person in front of me is just got the crowd going crazy.”
The tour is in celebration of Bentley’s new album, Gravel & Gold, which is out now. The record, his tenth, became the Grand Ole Opry member’s way of combining all of his influences onto one project — something he didn’t realize he wanted to do until he had already created, and then scrapped, two other albums.
“The only person who was going be able to do that was me,” Bentley acknowledges. “So I waited another six months. And, I also needed some more songs, I felt like. I went back and I called the players and booked the studio and did the whole production thing on my own, bringing more producers in to help me complete the vision. But it was just a feel thing. Like when I sip whiskey, I can’t tell you all the different flavors; I just know good or bad or great or wow. Those are the adjectives I use. … That third time around, I was like, ‘I’ve been grinding hard enough, been back in town long enough.’
“I had a vision for what I wanted to say,” he adds. “It just all came together. It was a long process, but I’m grateful I get to work with people who don’t get their feelings hurt. Everyone wants what’s best on the album.”
