Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks will host the 2023 ACM Awards! The ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 11 at 8:00 PM ET, streaming live on Amazon Prime Video, from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
“I am thrilled to return to host the ACM Awards, this time with my friend Garth,” Parton says. “While I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with him throughout the years, I can’t believe we’ve never had the chance to work together. In addition to getting to see all this great new talent in country music, I am excited to have the chance to premiere the lead single from my upcoming rock album on the show!”
“Anyone with Dolly Parton makes a fantastic couple,” adds Brooks.
Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon and MGM Studios, says that Parton and Brooks are the perfect pairing for the iconic show.
“We are elated to have beloved icon Dolly Parton return to co-host the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards alongside the legendary Garth Brooks,” Salke says. “As we bring back the Emmy-nominated Academy of Country Music Awards to our global audience, we are thrilled to continue to showcase the power of Amazon to create what will be an unforgettable night of live entertainment experiences with Dolly and Garth at the helm of ‘Country Music’s Party of the Year.’”
The 2023 ACM Awards marks, perhaps surprisingly, the first time Brooks has hosted an awards show. This is Parton’s second consecutive year to host the ACM Awards. She hosted in 2022 with Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett.
Miranda Lambert won the 2022 ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year. Carly Pearce won Female Artist of the Year, while Chris Stapleton won Male Artist of the Year, and Old Dominion won Group of the Year.
Nominations, performers and presenters will be announced in the near future. A limited number of tickets are available to enjoy the 2023 ACM Awards ceremony in person, at SeatGeek.com.
