Dolly Parton and Sara Evans are just two of the artists joining their voices for a new song, “PINK.” The song, which benefits Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, also includes Rita Wilson, Jordin Sparks and Monica.
“This is such a beautiful song of hope,” Dolly said of the tune. “I’m honored to join with these powerful women to help support Susan G. Komen’s life-saving work.”
“After performing at Opry Goes Pink last year, I’m thrilled to be supporting Susan G. Komen again this year in a very big way,” added Sara. “There is something magical that happens when women band together to have a positive impact on the world for our sisters and our daughters.”
The all-star list of artists is an important contribution, especially now.
“In a single moment, a person’s life changes forever — there is life before breast cancer, and life after,” said Susan G. Komen’s CEO Paula Schneider. “We are extremely honored that these powerful women have lent their time and talents to help us advance our mission and give a moment of hope to everyone impacted by breast cancer. Together, we will save lives and get closer to a world without breast cancer.”
The Opry Goes Pink returns this Saturday, October 24, at the Grand Ole Opry, featuring Rita, along with Little Big Town, Lauren Alaina, and Victoria Shaw and Erin Kinsey, both co-writers on “PINK.” After being closed to a live audience for several months due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Opry is currently allowing up to 1100 people in the audience, with socially distanced seating, mandatory masks for all guests and staff, and enhanced cleaning practices.
