Edley’s Bar-B-Que is quickly becoming known as one of the top spots for barbecue in and around Nashville, and with good reason. The restaurant, which now boasts nine locations, began in 2011 by Will and Catherine Newman, who named the restaurant after Will’as late grandfather, Edley Newman. As a tribute to both Edley, and their work ethic and passionate vision, Edley’s makes all of their food in-house, including their daily sides.
Edley’s has an almost impossibly large menu, available at the walk-up counter where you place your order, as well as online. Dubbed Shareables, their starters alone include BBQ Nachos or Fries, Smoked Wings (with a variety of sauces including the hot Walking Bird, or White BBQ), and their plentiful basket of fried pickles.
Often listed as one of Music City’s must-visit restaurants, Edley’s has numerous options for a variety of meats, including brisket, ribs, pork, chicken, turkey and catfish. As if those weren’t enough options, Edley’s expansive menu also features platters, sandwiches and tacos, plus sides like their famous four-cheese Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Grits Casserole and more. Edley’s even has salad options for those in the mood for something healthier (or saving room for the Banana Pudding or Pecan Pie).
One of Edley’s nine locations is their new location at 1004 Woodland Street, in the popular Five Points neighborhood.
“We’ve loved the first ten years in East Nashville on Main Street,” Will says. “There have been so many memories created through good times as well as the difficult ones, and we feel so fortunate to be a part of and serve this strong, resilient community. It has been a pleasure deepening our roots and serving our neighbors in East Nashville, and we look forward to many more years here.”
Edley’s, which also is located in 12 South, Sylvan Park, Donelson and Nolensville, plus in Chattanooga and two locations in Illinois, just opened their first location in Williamson County, at 501 Sallie Lane. The new location offers both dine-in and carry-out options, along with delivery through UberEats, as well as Edley’s first drive-thru.
“Establishing Edley’s in Williamson County has been a dream of ours since the beginning, and we’re so excited to have found a home at Berry Farms,” Will says. “It’s the perfect spot to start building relationships with our neighbors south of Nashville. We look forward to welcoming customers into our dining room, on our patio and at our first drive-thru.”
Edley’s Bar-B-Que offers catering and take-out options as well. More information on all of their locations can be found at EdleysBBQ.com.
