Gabby Barrett is officially a mother of three. The American Idol alum revealed on social media that she and and her husband, Cade Foehner, welcomed their daughter Ivy Josephine, whom they will call Ivy Jo, into the world.

“Our third baby arrived earth side early this morning, at home,” Barrett wrote. “Another life to love and cherish. Praising God for His kindness!”

 

Barrett and Foehner are also parents to three-year-old daughter, Baylah May, and 15-month-old son, Augustine Boone.

Barrett, who announced her third pregnancy in August, previously revealed what she was dreading, and looking forward to the most, about being a mother of three small children.

“The biggest challenge of being a mom is loss of sleep,” Barrett told People. “I think any parent will say that. And then when you add another child to the mix, you have to rebalance and reorganize and get everybody’s schedules down. So it’s just a matter of being prepared to lose that sleep at first, but you regain it back, so it’s good.”

But for all of the sleepless nights, it is more than worth it for Barrett to watch her children grow up.

“[It’s] getting to see something that you created walk around and flourish into the person that they’re becoming. It’s very cool,” she added.

Barrett is currently enjoying a Top 20 hit with “Glory Days,” the first single from her just-released sophomore album, Chapter & Verse.

“I wrote it with a group of friends, and we were just kind of talking about my life,” Barrett told Everything Nash last June, before announcing her third pregnancy. “I mean, I’ve lived a lot of life in a short amount of years, I would say. I have a husband, I’ve been married for four years, and I’m only 23. I have two children. I’ve done a lot of things in music, and in country music. I’ve been to awards shows. There are just a lot of lovely things that have happened, and I’m living in my glory days right now, I think.”

Chapter & Verse is a very personal album to Barrett, which includes plenty of songs about her own life, including “Growin’ Up Raising You,” a nod to her becoming a mother at a young age.

“I’m only 23 – I don’t have all the answers to everything, and I haven’t gotten everything figured out,” Barrett sai when the song was released. “I’m doing the best that I can while trying to raise other people to be the best people they can be. I feel so blessed to be able to have three little lives that I can help to flourish while I’m also trying to figure out life myself.”
