Gabby Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner are officially a family of four. The  American Idol alum gave birth to her son, Augustine Boone on October 27, waiting a week to share the exciting news.

“Soaking up the newborn days with baby brother,” Barrett captioned the photo of her newborn with her one-year-old daughter, Baylah. “What a precious gift from the Lord!”

In May, Barrett announced she and Foehner, whom she wed in 2019, were expecting their second child.

Barrett is currently enjoying a Top 10 hit with “Pick Me Up.” The video for the song, which is from her debut Goldmine album, stars the 22-year-old with her husband, following their relationship from high school until they are both elderly.

“This was a very personal video for me to shoot – taking on the lead with my husband Cade, and even being reminded of our daughter Baylah by having a little girl play her on set,” Barrett says of the touching video. “And my goodness, when I saw the full clip for the first time, I teared up. This one just touches my heart in a very special way.”

Barrett had planned on being on the road with Jason Aldean for all of his Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour, but had to come off the tour after the first half, due to her pregnancy, which was a big relief for Foehner.

“My husband is always like, ‘Oh, I’m so scared,’” Barrett told Taste of Country, speaking of touring while pregnant. “He always thought I was going to fall on the thrust that goes out from the stage. But I’m just like, ‘I got this.’ And I haven’t fallen yet.”

After coming in third on Idol in 2019, Barrett released “I Hope.” The song stayed at the top of the charts for an astonishing 20 weeks, sealing Barrett’s place in country music.

“It’s overwhelming but in the best way,” Barrett told Entertainment Tonight. “This is one of those things where it’s hard to put into words because it doesn’t really feel real. When you work for so long towards something and it actually happens, it’s hard for me to switch gears because I’ve just been in the mode of trying to get to these places, getting on the award, and getting number one songs. Now that you’re actually at the pit stop, ‘We’re here, we’re making a stop.’ It’s like ‘Whoa!’ It’s really cool.”

Barrett will hit the road next year to join Dustin Lynch and LOCASH in serving as the opening acts on Kane Brown’s Drunk or DreamingTour, which kicks off in March.
