Congratulations to Holly Williams, who is now the proud mother of four! The singer-songwriter welcomed her fourth child, Georgia Grace Coleman, with her husband, Chris Coleman, on Sunday, September 25. Williams waited until recently to share the news, revealing the birth of her daughter on Instagram, along with a photo of her with the newborn.
“It’s a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote. “Georgia Grace Coleman came into this world at 12:08 AM two weeks ago today on September 25th. Stella June, Lillie Mae and Arlo are absolutely, deliriously in love with her along with [Coleman] and myself. She is a dream come true, and she brings the most beautiful light and tenderness with her in the room wherever she goes. From the hospital to our home, she has filled these spaces up with deep awe and joy. I’m eternally grateful, and can’t wait to share more of her precious moments out now.”
In a separate post, Williams revealed that Georgia arrived early, and she was actually traveling out of town when her baby made a surprise appearance.
“Well, leave it up to me to want one last hoorah before baby!” Williams shared. “Mama and the girls and I went to one of my favorite spots — Fairhope, Alabama — to celebrate Stella June’s last weekend as a 7-year-old and get in some girl time before bringing a newborn home! Mom thought I was cooky to travel at 38 weeks but I assured her I felt great, it was an easy drive and there was nothing to worry about!”
Unfortunately, Williams started feeling uncomfortable while on the trip, and quickly realized that she was in labor.
“When we were downtown I told Mom things seemed to have taken a turn with my tiredness and walking ability, but I had absolutely NO clue that only four hours after this picture I would be in hysterical pain rushing to the nearest hospital,” Williams shared. “I am SO thankful how God orchestrated the timing of this beautiful baby’s birth to happen when it did and where it did. The doctor on call came rushing in the room and said ‘I’ve been praying for your family almost every day since y’all lost Katie.’ I didn’t know him at all, he read about it in the news, and of course I broke down crying.”
Katie is Williams’ sister, Katherine Williams-Dunning, who was killed in a car accident in 2020.
