Home Free Announces New Album, ‘So Long Dixie,’ Drops New Song [WATCH]

New music is coming from Home Free, and it’s all original songs! The five-man group announces the release of their new album, So Long Dixie, out on November 4. “What’s Left Of My Heart” from the upcoming record is out now.

“Downtime these past couple years combined with inspiration from touring again, got Tim [Foust] and Austin [Brown] writing,” Home Free announces. “We all listened and had an idea. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do something different and uniquely ours. This collection of songs we feel not only tells great stories, but still holds true to our style you all know and love.”

So Long Dixie isn’t just new music, but a bit of a new sound for Home Free as well. While performing in Anaheim, California recently, Foust hinted that the project would be a bit of a departure from anything they have released in the past.

“We broke the rules on this new album,” Foust revealed. “We did a couple of the songs with instruments, including the title track.”

Home Free just kicked off their Road Sweet Road Tour, which will be followed by their ambitious Home Free Family Christmas Tour. The holiday tour, playing 23 dates across the country, features an impressive list of opening acts, including Texas Hill, Caroline JonesBrooke EdenAbby Anderson and Ernie Halter. The group divulged, when announcing their Road Sweet Road Tour dates, that they had a lot of original music ready to share with their fans.

“For the past four months we’ve been hard at work in the studio preparing some new original music,” Home Free announced. “This fall, we can’t wait to share it with you on the road.”

For every purchase of an autographed CD, or a bundle with an autographed CD add-on, a digital download of the album will be instantly available. Find more information, pre-order So Long Dixie, and keep track of all of their tour dates, at HomeFreeMusic.com.
