Home Free Celebrates More Than 34 Million Spotify Streams of Their Music

Home Free‘s Warmest Winter holiday album is less than a month old, and it’s already become a favorite among music fans. With a little more than three weeks until Christmas, the 12-track record is part of Home Free’s massive success in 2020, garnering 34.2 million streams on Spotify, with more than one and a half million listeners, played for 1.7 million hours, in 92 different countries.

Home Free spoke out about their success on social media, where it was revealed that the amount of hours fans spent streaming their music is the amount of hours that have existed since March 16, 1822.

“Y’all continue to humble us every day,” Home Free posted. “Apparently, we’ve been listened to since before the radio existed. On a real note though, thank you all so much for joining us on this journey. What a special year it’s been, all because of YOU!”

Home Free debuted their Warmest Winter holiday special on Wednesday, December 2. The star-studded special includes a collaboration with Alabama on “Christmas in Dixie,” which Home Free shared in advance of the Warmest Winter premiere.

“Getting to perform “Christmas In Dixie” with the legendary [Alabama band] will never be forgotten,” Home Free gushed on social media.“Thanks so much to Jeff, Teddy and Randy for allowing us to remake this already beautiful song with you.”

“We’ve known Alabama for years, and we all grew up listening to their music,” Home Free member Rob Lundquist told Everything Nash. “We have opened for them in the past, and Jeff Cook has actually come out to one of our shows. We’ve been looking for an excuse to get them on a record, and ‘Christmas In Dixie’ seemed like the perfect collaboration. We were so excited they were down to record this with us.”

The Warmest Winter album also includes  Rachel Wammack and Striking Matches, who both also appear in the Warmest Winter holiday special, along with Jeffrey East and the Oak Ridge Boys. The show will stream five more times between Thursday, December 3 and Saturday, December 5, with the final performance taking place at 9:00 PM ET on December 5.
