With only days to go until Home Free begins rehearsing their upcoming Warmest Winter holiday special, the group reached a new fundraising goal of $175,000, which was what they needed to add the Oak Ridge Boys to their show. Home Free shared the exciting news on social media, along with a picture of Home Free with the iconic quartet.
“Now that’s how Home fries come through everybody!!” Home Free shared on social media, referring to their supportive fan club, dubbed the Home Fries. “Together, y’all have blown through our second stretch goal and have collected over $175K in support of the Warmest Winter Holiday Special! That means the boys [the Oak Ridge Boys] will be joining us for the special.”

Home Free previously revealed that if they raised $175,000, the Oak Ridge Boys would join them to sing “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem.”
Home Free’s initial goal of $75,000 was raised in only nine hours. Since then, they raised $150,000, which meant the addition of Jeffrey East. If Home Free raises $200,000 within the next five days, they will add Alabama as well, along with an additional 15 to 20 minutes of music. Rachel Wammack and Striking Matches, who both appear on their Warmest Winter Christmas album, have already agreed to appear.
Rehearsal for Warmest Winter will take place at the Steel Mill in Nashville on Sunday, November 1, with the taping occurring on November 2.
The Warmest Winter holiday special will be recorded only a few days before the November 6 release date of their Warmest Winter album, celebrating Home Free’s favorite time of the year.
“No question, each of our favorite parts about Christmas is being able to spend time with our families,” Rob Lundquist told Everything Nash. “Aside from this crazy year, we are typically touring non-stop, and Christmas is a time that we take off a substantial amount to stop and refresh and celebrate with our loved ones. Now that I’m a dad, Christmas has become my favorite time of year, just getting to see the excitement through the eyes of my kids.”
According to Home Free’s Indiegogo fundraising page, they are less than $22,000 away from their $200,000 goal. Preorder Warmest Winter at HomeFreeMusic.com.
