Ingrid Andress Celebrates No. 1 Hit With Debut Single, ‘More Hearts Than Mine’

As debut singles go, Ingrid Andress picked a good one. The Colorado native just scored a No. 1 hit with her debut single, “More Hearts Than Mine,” which she co-wrote with Sam Ellis and Derrick Southerland. The song is from her freshman Lady Like EP, which was released in March.

“This is extra special because it’s a song about my family, who I love so much and who have been my #1 fans from the beginning,” Ingrid said in a statement about the song. “I’m beyond happy it has resonated with so many people, because that’s the whole beauty of country music; real stories that are told about real people living in this country. It’s an honor to tell those stories as so many legends have done before me.”

“More Hearts Than Mine” landing at No. 1 follows American Idol alum Gabby Barrett’s successful run to the top of the charts, with “I Hope,” marking the first time since 2006 that two female artists have had back-to-back No. 1 singles.

“This accomplishment is a testament to our entire organization,” Warner Music Nashville CEO John Esposito said in a statement. “To A&R for signing powerful artists and finding songs that resonate, to Radio & Streaming for putting those songs in position to win and to the entire marketing team for continually finding unique ways to get our artists and their music to the fans.

“Those are the hallmarks of artist development. And, of course, to Gabby and Ingrid – thank you for letting us share in your visions,” he continued. “I am so proud to add to the legacy of Warner Music Nashville with each of you, and this is just the first step.”

Ingrid will hit the road later this year with Tim McGraw on his Here on Earth Tour. Tim invited her after hearing “More Hearts Than Mine” while lounging at home with his wife, Faith Hill.

“I was in the backyard by my pool, and had music playing,” Tim said in a video shared on social media, addressing Ingrid. “You came on with your song, ‘More Hearts Than Mine,’ and it stunned me. Instantly I ran in to Faith [Hill] and said, ‘I think I found someone I want to go on tour with me.’

The Here on Earth Tour is currently scheduled to begin in July. Keep track of tour updates, and download or stream “More Hearts Than Mine” by visiting IngridAndress.com.
