We now know what songs will be on Jimmie Allen‘s upcoming Bettie James album. The star-studded EP has seven songs, with artists like Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker, the Oak Ridge Boys, Brad Paisley and more joining Jimmie on the project. The record is in honor of both the singer’s father and grandmother.
“My dad and grandmom were two completely different people, but both played a huge part in my life,” Jimmie previously said of the project. “Since they died, I have been wanting to leave trails of their legacies throughout my music.”
Jimmie picked each of the artists to join him on Bettie James, with a personal connection to each of them.
“I am a fan of every artist on this project and humbled to have each one of them be a part of it,” Jimmie said of his next set of tunes. “Each artist has touched the life of my dad, my grandmother and me through their music. I’m proud of this body of music and thankful to every writer that helped me create Bettie James.”
Jimmie already released “This Is Us,” a duet with Noah Cyrus. Bettie James will be released this Friday, July 10. It is currently available for pre-order here.
